Over the weekend, developer NetEnt announced the launch of its brand-new video slot, Superstars.
The new casino game draws inspiration from some of NetEnt’s most famous games and features characters from said games, like Gonzo, Lady Pig, Finn, and more.
Superstars uses a 5×5 grid layout with 45 paylines, and it has an RTP of 96.08% with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins when playing.
The game requires a bet of between £0.10 and £100 per spin, and its symbols include the star from Starburst, Gonzo from Gonzo’s Quest, Finn from Finn And The Swirly Spin, Lady Pig from Piggy Riches, the Space Wars brute, and the usual card royal symbols.
Superstars is available at most mobile casinos, including PlayOJO, Casumo, 44Aces, All British Casino, Playjango, Videoslots, SpinGenie, and other brands too.
The Superstars game comes with several special features, including Wild symbols that appear anywhere on the reels in the main game and substitute for all symbols except Scatter and Dice symbols, which substitute for Scatter symbols.
Landing three or more Scatter symbols triggers the Bonus Game. When triggered, the Scatter symbols transform into random prizes that take the same positions on the reels. If the Bonus Game is activated with a Dice symbol, one Dice symbol is added to the counter at the start of the feature.
During the Bonus Game, random prizes of 1 to 25x your bet and Dice symbols appear on the reels. One Dice symbol awards one dice to roll to move a token on the board and activate whichever feature the token lands on.
The initial number of spins in the Bonus Game is three, but each new prize resets the spins back to three or four if the Extra Spins feature is triggered. When all positions on the reels are filled, the Final Game is activated.
The Bonus Game also has other features based on previous NetEnt games. For example, the Finn feature adds +5 to up to five prizes and combines them into one prize. The Gonzo feature multiplies up to 24 random prizes, the Miss Banks feature adds up to 15 prizes on the reels, the Space Wars feature awards three re-spins, and the Starburst feature adds a stack of three equal prizes.
There’s also the Wheel Game, which you can spin to activate features like One or Two Dice that add one or two dice to the counter, the +1 feature that increases the value of all prizes on the reels, the upgrade feature that assigns prizes, and the random and re-play features that trigger or re-play features.
In the Final Game, all game board squares are assigned prizes of up to 1,000x your bet except for two squares that award dice when the token lands on them. You’ll need to roll dice to move the token and collect prizes.
Todd Haushalter, the Chief Product Officer at Evolution, said in a statement: “Thanks to the excellent work of our team, we have created a landmark game, jam-packed with action and features.
“Paying homage to NetEnt’s most iconic titles and the best-known characters, the Bonus Game of Superstars brings wildly different outcomes to players every single time they are lucky enough to enter.”
He continued: “The unique atmosphere, fantastic soundtrack, and novel animations of our well-known characters, alongside the wide range of features, will ensure that both slot veterans and new players alike will find something to love about Superstars.
“Let us roll out the red carpet, and let the Superstars entertain you!”
