Casino Card Games: Everything You Can Play At Online Casinos

Casino Card Games List

There are numerous casino card games available and most can be enjoyed at online casinos across the UK. If you’re thinking about registering with an online casino, you should take a look at the various card games that you can play beforehand to ensure that you don’t get bored in the long-run. Thankfully, we’ve put together this short guide which offers a brief look at some of the most popular games available as well as where you can find them.

Online Casino Card Game List: What Can You Play?

Online casinos are just like ordinary brick-and-mortar casinos in that they offer a wide selection of casino games with the added benefit of you being able to play from home. Generally speaking, every game you can find at a brick-and-mortar casino should be playable online although there may be some slight differences.

The most popular types of games available at casinos are video slots and roulette, but online casinos also offer a range of casino card games too like blackjack, poker, and baccarat. What’s more, all of these have dozens of variations which change rules and offer exciting new gameplay. Take a look below at our complete casino card game list to discover more about what can be found at online casinos.

Poker Games

Poker is one of the most well-known casino games around and it’s usually seen in television shows and films. Poker is actually comprised of many different variations, each of which has different gameplay rules and mechanics to make them unique to play. Most casinos will offer different variations of poker titles, and some of the most notable variations include:

Three Card Poker

Three Card Poker is the version of poker most people play at online casinos in which you play against the house or casino. When playing the game, you’ll be required to make an ante bet before three cards are dealt to you and the computer. Players must then fold or call for call which means to place another bet. Once this is done, the cards are revealed and you win by either having a better poker hand combination than the dealer’s or if the dealer fails to qualify for the round by not having a Queen-high. That’s it, it’s one of the more simple games to play.

Texas Hold’em / Casino Hold’em

Texas Hold’em is one of the most popular variations of poker games in which players are tasked with creating the best 5-card poker hand combination using cards they’re dealt with and cards from the Comunity deck at the centre of the betting table. The game is played across multiple rounds in which players with weak hands are forced to pull out of the game. A game of Texas Hold’em ends when one player beats the others with the best five-card hand combination in the final round.

Casino Hold’em is a variation of Texas Hold’em which generally follows the same rules. However, rather than playing against other people, you play against the casino or house, which makes this game perfect for online casinos!

Oasis Poker / Caribbean Stud Poker

Oasis Poker and Caribbean Stud Poker are two popular variations of poker, both of which are quite similar in terms of rules. Like with Casino Hold’em, players play against the house or casino rather than other players. Users will have to place various bets and form a poker hand combination with the cards they are dealt with and must beat the house or casino’s combination to win. The main difference between Oasis Poker and Caribbean Stud Poker is that players in Oasis Poker can freely discard cards they do not want.

Blackjack

Blackjack is a card-counting casino game in which you play against the casino or house and must beat their hand without going over the value of 21. Multiple players can play the game at once and the game starts with players being dealt two cards, the value of which must be combined to create as close a value to 21 as possible. All cards are counted at face value while Kinds, Jacks, Queens, and Tens have values of 10, and Aces can have either a value of 11 or 1 depending on the game you’re playing. These values must be added up to create your final endgame value of up to 21.

Additional cards can be dealt if you believe you need it but there’s a risk you’ll go over the value of 21. If you do go over it, you lose the game and the house or casino wins. However, if you’re endgame value is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, you win the game.

Pontoon

Pontoon is a variation of Blackjack and it generally follows the same rules but Pontoon allows users to double down with more than two cards and has options to buy before taking hits, and has several other slight gameplay variations.

Note: Take a look at our guide on Blackjack to discover a list of common terminology as well as more information on the game and its most common variations such as European Blackjack, Multi-hand, and Blackjack Switch.

Baccarat

Baccarat is another card game in which the player plays against the casino or house. Like with most other card games, baccarat involves comparing card combinations and you must place a bet on whether you believe the casino or the player will win by having the higher card value total.

When the cards are revealed, the combinations are added to create a single-digit value (Under 10). Cards that total a two-digit number (10 or more) are converted into a single-digit number by only counting the second digit number; this means a card total of 17 is converted into 7. When it comes to calculating your score, all cards are worth face value except Tens, Kings, Queens, Jokers, and Aces which are counted as zero.

Live Casino Card Games: What Are They And Should I Play?

Live casino games are casino games that are hosted by a real-life dealer and are streamed directly to you. You can interact with the dealer and other players through a dedicated chat service, and the dealer can interact back with you via the stream. These games have become increasingly popular for offering players a more authentic take on casino gaming than ordinary online titles since it’s almost like visiting a real casino but from the comfort of your home.

There are hundreds of live casino games, all of which are based on the card games we’ve listed above plus new variations of these titles. These games follow all traditional rules unless they’re new variations of classic games. What’s more, there are also live versions of other games such as slots, roulette, and brand new live casino titles like Dream Catcher and so much more – all of which helps keep you busy for a long time.

Live casino games are great for anyone who is after a more authentic experience akin to visiting a brick-and-mortar casino venue. Since they’re widely available at online casinos throughout the UK, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding these games. Some online casinos even offer special live casino bonuses to new users too!
