It’s not all doom and gloom right now, as one lucky casino player managed to trigger a giant €10.7 million win on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah.
The news was announced in a blog post by Microgaming in which the leading provider revealed that an anonymous European player registered with Jackpot City Casino managed to make a giant win.
According to Microgaming, the lucky user triggered a whopping €10,735,716.84 jackpot prize, becoming the latest millionaire made via Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network.
The sum is currently one of the largest wins in the industry and in-line with all of Microgaming’s progressive jackpot payments, the win will be paid out as one giant lump sum rather than in multiple instalments.
Since launching, Microgaming’s highly-praised progressive jackpot network has paid out over €1.1 billion in prizes. This year, the network has paid out more than €26 million and has seen more than 150 players take prizes of €10,000 or more home.
Andrew Clucas, the Chief Operating Officer at Microgaming, said in a statement: “We are thrilled for the victorious player who struck this staggering €10.7 million win – congratulations!
“Mega Moolah continues to be a favourite among players worldwide, and so we are excited to be adding more new progressive games to the jackpot and network throughout the year.”
As Microgaming and the lucky player celebrate the giant win, the leading game developer continues to create and develop new casino games. Just last month, Microgaming released Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah, a brand new slot in its acclaimed Mega Moolah series.
Meanwhile, Microgaming continues to partner with other studios to release games. Some recent launches include Anderthals, Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde, Hot Cross Bunnies Game Changer, Attack On Retro, 9 Pots Of Gold, Treasure Skyland, Alchemy Blast, and dozens more.
The firm is expected to release a slew of new slots this month, as well as throughout the rest of the year. In addition, the developer has announced several new partnerships which will lead to the development and launch of several branded video slots.
Some of Microgaming’s current projects include a video slot based on Tarzan, a new slot based on the hit HBO show Game Of Thrones, as well as a musical-themed slot based on popular trance DJ Deadmau5.
