Spin Casino User Wins Huge €1.6 Million Jackpot On Microgaming Slot

Microgaming Major Millions Progressive Jackpot

A lucky Spin Casino user has won a gigantic €1.6 million jackpot on Microgaming’s jackpot network.

The game developer announced the news this week, revealing that the anonymous Spin Casino is the latest millionaire to be created by the Microgaming Jackpot Network which for this year alone has already paid out more than €30 million.

In a news post on the Microgaming website, the developer confirmed that the anonymous user won the jackpot on July 20th, 2020, while playing the Major Millions progressive jackpot slot at Spin Casino. In total, the user won €1,650,382.89 (Around £1,492,284.46).

The player, who is based in the UK, won the giant jackpot within a month of registering at Spin Casino and landed the win on a €3 wager on the slot. Like with all other Microgaming Jackpot Network wins, the jackpot will be paid out as one large lump sum rather than in annuities.

As explained by Microgaming, the recent win is the third seven-figure jackpot won on Major Millions this year. The first was one on March 14th and worth €1,650,910.31 and the second won on June 12th worth €1,203,349.99.

Meanwhile, other famous Microgaming jackpot slots have trigged large payouts too including Mega Moolah which triggered the largest win of 2020 so far when a Jackpot City player won €10,735,716.84 back in April. Additional jackpot wins have been made on recent Mega Moolah releases like Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah and Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah.

Speaking about the gigantic win, a spokesperson for Spin Casino UK said: “We are absolutely thrilled for our winner, who has become a millionaire overnight. Microgaming’s Major Millions has always been a popular game and we are delighted that the new 5-reel version is proving similarly so with our customers.”

John Coleman, the CEO at Microgaming, also celebrated the win, saying: “With total lifetime payouts exceeding €1.2 billion, Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network has had an outstanding year to date, driven by a number of new game releases, including Wheel Of Wishes, Atlantean Treasures, and Absolootly Mad.

“We look forward to building on this momentum over the coming months, hosting more feature-rich games that feed into our leading jackpots, which have paid out over €115 million across 2,571,389 jackpots so far this year – that’s more than eight payouts every minute on average!”

The news comes after NetEnt announced in July that a Swedish Svenska Spel Sport & Casino player managed to trigger a giant SEK 28 million win on Mega Fortune.

Microgaming’s Upcoming Releases

Microgaming is one of the biggest casino game developers around and known for their slew of high-quality video slots and jackpot slots like the Mega Moolah franchise. All Mega Moolah-branded slots are part of the developer’s Progressive Jackpot Network, including Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah, Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah, and Mega Moolah ISIS.

There are several upcoming games that will also be joining the network including All41 Studios’ Book of Atem: WowPot, Triple Edge Studios’ Sisters Of Oz: WowPot, Stormcraft Studios’ Fortunium Gold: Mega Moolah, Just For The Win’s Juicy Joker Mega Moolah, and Slingshot Studios’ African Legends.

Meanwhile, Microgaming has a slew of new slot released planned for August 2020 and beyond. Some f the new titles to launch in the coming weeks include Just For The Win’s Wolf Howl which is based on werewolves and North American wildlife, Stormcraft Studios’ Break Away Lucky Wilds which is a revamped version of a classic Microgaming slot, and Foxium’s 3 Tiny Gods which offers a brand new take on ancient Egyptian mythology.

Expanding Its Slot Portfolio

The news comes as Microgaming continues to expand its slot portfolio by striking content agreements with various other studios and developers. As reported by CasinoBeats, Microgaming last month announced an aggregation deal with Stakelogic under which the independent studio will provide Microgaming with its entire selection of casino games.

Microgaming has struck similar agreements with other game developers including SpinPlay, Neko Games, Inspired Gaming, GVC Holdings PLC, Alchemy Gaming, Neon Valley Studios, and so many more.

Under these agreements, all of the above game developers and more will launch a selection of their existing titles with Microgaming’s aggregation platform, and all future releases will also launch via the service, helping to extend their player reach to dozens of top casino sites and helping Microgaming expand its already diverse game catalogue.
