Skyrocket Entertainment’s The Games Company has successfully joined Yggdrasil’s YG Masters programme.

Leading game developer Yggdrasil announced the news this week, revealing that it had entered a new partnership with Skyrocket Entertainment. Under the partnership, Skyrocket Entertainment and its content development and distribution subsidiary The Games Company have joined the YG Masters programme.

As part of the programme, Skyrocket and The Games Company will develop and release content via Yggdrasil’s technology and global network. This essentially allows Skyrocket to offer both new and old games to all casinos partnered with Yggdrasil.

The agreement effectively boosts Skyrocket Entertainment’s player reach as it’s made available to all Yggdrasil casino and operator partners across several licensed jurisdictions. It also expands on the game selection available at Yggdrasil’s partnered gambling sites.

Skyrocket Entertainment, which launched at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, adapts Hollywood films and branded intellectual property rights into fun and exciting casino games. Skyrocket, which acquired The Games Company in 2019, has so far released games Codename Diablo Suitmaker, HippieChicks, and the Last Drop Golden Grenade.

More recently, the firm acquired the international rights to more than 70 films to create games from. Some of the licenses include Rambo 4, The Expendables, The Fallen franchise, and plenty more.

What They Say

Stuart McCarthy, the Head of Partner Strategy and Sourcing at Yggdrasil, said in a statement: “Skyrocket has grown rapidly in a very short space of time, however, by joining YG Masters they will be able to greatly accelerate that progress and scale, with access to an unlimited audience, all powered by our revolutionary GATI technology.

“I am positive that our customers and their players will enjoy the innovative games delivered from our Skyrocket partnership.”

Richard Clarke, the COO at Skyrocket Entertainment, added: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Yggdrasil. YG Masters has been a phenomenal success for its members and the recent addition of GATI technology will provide us with the firepower we need to significantly boost and further grow our global operations in the most efficient and secure way.”

Skyrocket Entertainment is now one of the many developers to have joined Yggdrasil’s YG Masters programme. Some of the other firms to have joined the scheme include Reflex Gaming, 4ThePlayer, Northern Lights, DreamTech, Black Cow, and so many others.

Meanwhile, Yggdrasil has been launching dozens of new popular casino games including Neon Rush Splitz, PopRocks, Multifly!, All Star Knockout, Brazil Bomba, Ice And Fire, Temple Stacks Splitz, and many others.
