Evolution Launches New Live Casino Slot

Meanwhile, Evolution has today launched a brand new live casino slot.

The leading game developer has announced the release of Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt, a groundbreaking new live casino slot based on NetEnt’s hit game Gonzo’s Quest. The game marks the first Evolution title to use NetEnt’s IP after Evolution’s acquisition of the studio in 2020.

According to Evolution, the game requires players to uncover treasure hidden in a giant wall of 70 stones, and players will be accompanied by a live dealer and an augmented virtual reality version of Gonzo,

What’s more, the brand new live casino game is playable in VR with a Virtual Reality headset and controller, offering a more immersive experience.

Todd Haushalter, the Chief Product Officer at Evolution, said in a statement: “This is our first product that combines the best of NetEnt with Evolution.

“I’ve been excited to work with the amazing NetEnt intellectual property since the acquisition was announced and we are starting by taking the most famous character in slots and bringing him to live casino.

He continued: “This is also the first live game ever where players have such a high degree of control over their game strategy and the potential outcome. Unlike other games where the result is the result and there is nothing you can do about it, in Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt players take control as they go hunting for their prizes.

“This is a whole new definition of what a game show is – giving the player this level of control will attract a new audience to Evolution. We are continuing to evolve what the gambling experience can be, and this is an incredibly exciting landmark launch.”

The news comes after Playtech launched the industry’s first-ever live slot in December 2019. Playtech’s live game was based on its hit slot Buffalo Blitz and was described by the developer as a “collective experience” featuring “community spins”.

The game requires players to adjust their wager, select their spend limit, and the number of spins they want to play before starting the game, and the live slot’s reels will spin continuously while the dealer interacts with players.
