Leading game developer Inspired Entertainment has announced the launch of its Space Invaders online and mobile slot.
The brand new game is an adaptation of TAITO’s legendary video and arcade game of the same name from the 1970s, which saw players defeat wave after wave of aliens with a gun.
According to Inspired Entertainment, the brand new game uses a 5×3 layout with 20 paylines, and it has an RTP of 95%. The game requires a bet of between £0.20 and £200 per spin, and its symbols are all based on the original game’s alien ships, along with some updated visuals too.
The Space Invaders slot comes with several special features, including Wild symbols that substitute for all symbols except Scatter symbols. There are also five modifiers that can be triggered, each of which can trigger wild symbols, trigger expanding wild symbols, guarantee a win, trigger roaming mega-sized symbols, and trigger bonus symbols.
There are also several bonuses, which are triggered by landing three or more Bonus Coin Scatter symbols. These bonuses trigger Cash Prizes, increasing Multipliers, Sticky Wild symbols, Expanding Wild symbols, Mega-sized Reels, and more.
If the above isn’t enough, the game also includes a Free Spins mode, and there’s a Gambling mechanic where you can choose to gamble your winnings to double or lose them.

The Space Invaders game can be played as an online slot via all regulated and Inspired Entertainment-partnered operators, and it can be played as a casual game too, with no real funds.
The launch of Space Invaders comes after Inspired Entertainment released three Christmas-inspired games earlier this month; Christmas Cash Spins, Big Christmas Present, and Merry Christmas MegaWays. It also comes after Inspired launched Big Fishing Fortune, Twistar, and numerous other titles too.
