Developer Relax Gaming has announced the launch of its latest video slot; the sci-fi themed Space Miners.
The brand new casino game, which combines the two themes of space and mining, blasts players into space and tasks you with helping the Martians find valuable interplanetary resources and intergalactic riches.
Space Miners uses an initial 6×3 grid layout that can be expanded up to 10 rows through gameplay. The slot has 729 paylines at the beginning of the game, but these can be expanded to 1,000,000 paylines later on, and the slot has an RTP of 96.47%.
The game has high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones, and the slot requires a bet of between £0.10 and £20 per spin.
Symbols in Space Miners are all based on the Martians, and they include red, orange, green, purple, and blue aliens, as well as gold, green, pink, and blue crystals. There’s also a box of crystals as a Wild symbol and spaceship Bonus symbols.
When it comes to special features, the Space Miners slot includes Wild symbols that expand to fill all open positions on the reel and substitute for all other symbols when evaluating wins.
There are also Power Up features where destroying blockers that include a Power Up will trigger the respective feature; cross that destroys all blockers in a vertical and horizontal line; horizontal that destroys all blockers in a horizontal line; vertical that destroys all blockers in a vertical line; and 3×3 that destroys all blockers in a 3×3 area.
Meanwhile, landing three Bonus symbols during the main game will trigger the game’s Free Spins mode with six spins. Landing an additional Bonus symbol will award more spins.
During the Free Spins mode, any blockers removed will remain open for the duration of the feature. Finally, the game provides you with the ability to purchase entry into the Free Spins mode for 100x your bet.
Simon Hammon, the CPO at Relax Gaming, said in a statement: “We are hoping that life on Mars, and beyond, proves to be as fruitful as Elon Musk has suggested it might be! Space travel is always a fun concept to create and we can’t wait for players to enjoy what we think is the best game in the solar system.
“Relax Gaming has created an entire galaxy’s worth of games to date, but we think a wide range of audiences are going to really love Space Miners.”
The launch of Space Miners comes after the release of several other video slots by Relax Gaming, including the Samurai-inspired Hazakura Ways, the Alice In Wonderland-themed slot Plunderland, the festive game Santa’s Stack, and Cluster Tumble, amongst others.
