Game developer Blue Guru Games has released its debut slot, The Nemean Lion.
Blue Guru Games was founded in 2021 by a group of industry veterans through the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group. The group focuses on creating story-driven casino games, like its debut title.
The game follows Hercules on his quest for atonement and immortality in which he must complete what is now known as the Labours Of Hercules, the first of which involves defeating the Nemean Lion.
Blue Guru Games’ Nemean Lion slot uses a 5×5 grid with 40 paylines, and it has an RTP of 96.46 with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones.
The game requires a bet of between £0.20 and £200 per spin, and symbols include the lion’s paw, a temple, the lion, Hercules, Hera, the Oracle, a club, jewels, and several stones.
The Nemean Lion comes with several special features, including Wild symbols that appear on the second, third, fourth, and fifth reels, and these symbols substitute for all symbols except the Scatter symbols.
There are also Scatter symbols that appear on the second, third, and fourth reels, and landing three Scatter symbols triggers the Free Games feature. Scatter symbols are collected during the Base Game to increase the Free Game Multipliers, starting at a value of 2x.
When the Free Games feature is triggered, you’ll earn 12 spins, and the triggering Scatter symbols become Multiplier positions. Landing a Scatter symbol in a position that isn’t a Multiplier transforms the symbol into a Multiplier, while landing a Scatter symbol in a Multiplier position increases the Multiplier by one point.
In a statement to European Gaming, Kristian Hassall, the Commercial Manager at Blue Guru Games, said: “Players will be able to help Hercules complete his first labour by defeating the feared Nemean Lion.
“Along the way, they must collect Scatters to not only guide Hercules towards his epic showdown with the magnificent beast but to also give him the very best chance to overpower the Nemean Lion through Free Spins and Multipliers.”
Hassall added: “The game has been designed to take players to the heart of the Hercules story with each spin, and thanks to the fun gameplay combined with striking graphics and authentic soundtrack, we believe it does just that.”
The release of The Nemean Lion marks Blue Guru Games’ first slot launch, and the game will be followed by slots such as Clash Of The Seraphim, Octopus Armada, and Curse Of The Mummies.
Back in February, Blue Guru Games signed a content agreement with Relax Gaming to join its Silver Bullet programme and launch with its partnered operators. In the same month, Blue Guru Games signed a similar agreement with ORYX Gaming.
