Leading online bookmaker Betway has inked a deal with well-regarded eSports team Invictus Gaming for the upcoming Dota 2 professional season, including The International 2018, which is happening this month.
The agreement allows Betway to have exclusive access to the team for content creation purposes. Invictus Gaming will also have the Betway logo emblazoned on their Dota 2 jerseys throughout the 1-year sponsorship.
The deal marks Betway’s first steps into the Dota 2 market, following its sponsorship deal for CS:GO Major in the coming September. The bookmaker has taken one step further in consolidating its esports presence.
Invictus Gaming are the winners of The International 2012. Since its establishment in 2011, the team has attracted a number of desirable players such as 430, YYF and BurNIng.

“We are delighted to seal this sponsorship deal with Invictus Gaming, which marks our entry into the Dota 2 market,” said Anthony Werkman of Betway.
“A strong brand with a rich history in esports, Invictus Gaming is one of the few teams to win The International, and we are extremely proud to bring them into the Betway family. After seeing incredible success in CSGO, we can’t wait to replicate our market-leading content in Dota 2 through this landmark partnership.”
The gambling operator announced five new esports sponsorship earlier this year. Aside from CS:GO Major, CS:GO Pro League and Brazilian esports brand MIBR are also on Betway’s sponsorship list.
