A Look Back At 2021 – Game Developers That Acquired UK Licenses

Game Developer Licenses UK

While many online casinos have closed and left the UK gambling market, 2021 has seen a number of game providers and developers acquire a license for the United Kingdom by the Gambling Commission. So, we thought we’d round up some of the firms to have gained licenses in 2021 and discuss what we might see from them next year.

ORYX Gaming

In November 2021, Bragg Gaming Group subsidiary ORYX Gaming acquired a UK Gambling License, allowing the studio to release its casino games to gambling operators located across the United Kingdom. Since then, ORYX Gaming has expanded in the United Kingdom by striking agreements with operators like White Hat Gaming.

ORYX Gaming has developed and released a selection of casino games in the UK, most of which includes video slots such as Super Sevens, Fruit Lines, Kings & Jewels, and more. It also runs its Blue Horn program, in which ORYX Gaming has partnered with various other developers and provides their games along with its own to partnered casino operators.

ORYX Gaming already has a varied gaming catalogue, but we believe the studio will continue to expand its portfolio by launching new casino games and partnering with other developers. In addition, the studio will likely form new content agreements to reach new players across the UK.

Jogo Global

Jogo Global is an online casino developer and provider that acquired a valid license from the UK Gambling Commission in November 2021. In its announcement, Jogo Global revealed that it was already in talks with several UK operators and expects to finalise content agreements with them in the coming months.

The studio hasn’t yet released any games, but its website does list a total of nine video slots that are ready for release, including Sirena, Rainbow Mania, Desert Secrets, Oriental Wonders, and more. We expect the studio to begin releasing the aforementioned casino games and others next year and launch its content with established casino operators in the UK.

Quik Gaming

In June 2021, game provider Quik Gaming announced that it had been granted a UK Gambling Commission license. Unlike most of the development studios listed here, Quik Gaming develops unique content it describes as “one-of-a-kind unique live games” that blend slots and live casino aspects.

Quik Gaming has released several games, including Wheel Of Fire, Lotto Roulette, and SuperBlocs, and it recently struck an agreement with game provider iSoftBet to integrate its games into the firm’s Game Aggregation Platform (GAP), making Quik Gaming’s content available with numerous operators across Europe, including the UK.

For 2022, Quik Gaming has four games that are set to launch, including Single Player and Live versions of 3 Draw Poker and Race For Cash. What’s more, we’ll likely see the studio form additional content agreements to launch with UK operators.

Synot Games

In January 2021, Synot Games was granted a UK Gambling license, giving the studio the green light to launch its content at licensed operators across the country. Since then, Synot Games has launched some of its most popular games – Book Of Secrets, 243 Mexicana, Joker 50 Deluxe, Monkey Slots, and more – with UK casino operators.

Throughout 2022, we expect Synot Games to continue developing and releasing new casino games and partnering with additional casino operators to further boost its presence across the nation.

HITSqwad

Last month, game developer HITSqwad was granted a license from the UK Gambling Commission, marking the studio’s first major license. The studio, which has currently only released its Bravo Mission and Ragnar games, has since partnered with casino operator Playzido and is expected to launch its games with the casino early next year.

Throughout the remainder of 2022, we believe HITSqwad will release its Sky Dragon, Dark Warrior, White Tiger, and Fire Bird games, all of which are listed as “coming soon” on the HITSqwad website. We also believe that the studio will seek out additional content partnerships to expand its reach in the UK.

There’s plenty of content for you to look out for and enjoy in 2022, and this is just the beginning. We’ll see plenty more game providers and developers acquire licenses throughout the year, and www.smartphonecasinos.co.uk is the place to be to stay updated!
